IBH Seminar: The place of barely in the animal feed industry

Speaker bio:

Dr Kevin Stickney has 40+ years involved in the animal feed industry largely as a commercial nutritionist. Both his under- and post-graduate degrees were completed in the 1970’s at the University of Nottingham, School of Agriculture, and involved research studies with pigs. In the last 44 years Kevin has worked as a commercial nutritionist in the UK feed industry, moving from a specialisation in pig nutrition, then integrating poultry into a broader monogastric technical role. Currently Kevin is working for Harbro in a technical position with general over-sight as well as in a R&D capacity, expanding his brief to cover all commercial livestock species. The majority of his current activities have been related to working with home mixing producers where there is an essential need to understand arable production and optimal utilisation of home grown feed materials
