Our core imaging technologies facility (ImTech) will provide access to a range of microscopes including widefield, confocal, light-sheet and electron microscopy, and will house our new STED super-resolution machine.
This cutting-edge technology will be available on a purpose-built upright body with a range of imaging lasers and two STED lasers to enable us to image even live, mobile structures, in combination, at super-resolution. The unique Abberior microscope will be revolutionary for plant imaging as it includes Adaptive Optics to allow fully spectral, lifetime, deep tissue imaging, MATRIX detection to decrease background and Adaptive Illumination to provide gentle 3D STED with low light intensities.
